Albuquerque police are investigating a fatal crash that happened on the frontage road at the Big I. Police say the crash happened Tuesday morning on the westbound Interstate 40 frontage road approaching southbound Interstate 25. Through the investigation, it was discovered that the black Audi was traveling north on I-25 Northbound Frontage. At the intersection with Interstate 40 Westbound Frontage, a semi-truck with a trailer ran through a red light and struck the passenger side of the Audi. The passenger was killed instantly, while the driver was transported in critical condition.
