1 dead, 1 injured in crash that closed Krumkill Road intersection

ALBANY — A 74-year-old woman died and a 76-year-old driver was badly injured when, police said, he lost control of his car Tuesday as he was navigating a Route 85 exit to Krumkill Road. Police arrived at the crash scene at around 11 a.m. to find both people unresponsive. The woman was pronounced dead, but the man was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where police said he was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The names of the victims will be released once officers have notified family, a police spokesman said.
