1 dead, 1 injured in NE Portland shooting; no arrests made

Two men were shot in Northeast Portland’s Parkrose neighborhood Tuesday night, and one of them died, police said. Officers responding to a shooting call shortly after 9 p.m. arrived at a parking lot near Northeast Airport Way and Glenn Widing Drive and found the men who’d been shot, according to a Portland Police Bureau statement. The men were taken to a nearby hospital, where one of them was declared dead. The other’s condition is not known at this time. The shooter or shooters had fled the scene before officers arrived.
