1 dead, 4 injured after shooting at large gathering in South Acres

One man was killed and four others were injured after a shooting broke out during a large gathering in southeast Houston early Sunday. Houston police responded around 4 a.m. to the 13300 block of Cullen Boulevard. Investigators said the incident followed a gathering at a shopping center, where people had been playing pool and smoking hookah. Someone had rented out the Chevron Center, as locals call it, though there’s no signage out front. “It’s very weird it’s unlabeled,” Houston Police Department Detective Alex Vinogradov said. He tells KPRC 2 News, as attendees were leaving, an altercation began.
