1 dead, 4 wounded in shooting on Wethersfield Avenue in Hartford, police say

HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - One person is dead and four others were wounded in a shooting in Hartford early Sunday morning. Officers were called to the area of Wethersfield Avenue at around 1:40 a.m. after a ShotSpotter notification, according to the police department. When crews arrived, they found a large crowd of roughly 100 people and an unresponsive gunshot victim. Officials said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by responding EMS. Police said two additional gunshot victims — a man in his thirties and a man in his twenties — arrived to a local hospital in a private vehicle.
