1 dead, 5 hospitalized after police pursuit ends in head-on crash near Bullhead City

BULLHEAD CITY, AZ (AZFamily) — An innocent driver is dead after a crash during a police pursuit early Monday morning in northwestern Arizona. Around 4 a.m., a Bullhead City police patrol supervisor spotted a vehicle speeding somewhere on Hancock Road and started a pursuit, according to Bullhead City police. About two minutes in, police say the driver intentionally cut into oncoming traffic, causing the supervisor to call off the chase for safety reasons. The vehicle reportedly kept going south on Highway 95 toward Fort Mohave and out of sight of police. Police say officers were debriefing on the side of the road when they learned the vehicle had just been reported stolen out of Kingman.
