1 dead, 7 injured in shooting at Mass. house party

One person was killed and seven were injured early Sunday in a shooting in a Massachusetts town . At about 12:35 a.m., Taunton police responded to a home at 261 Weir St. after receiving 911 calls reporting gunshots, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office. At the scene, officers found eight people who had been shot during a party in the house’s yard. All eight victims were in their early 20s, according to police. They were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
