BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting on Titian Avenue on Tuesday morning, Sept. 8, the East Baton Rouge Coroner’s Office confirmed. According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the incident stemmed from a stabbing that happened on Winthrop Avenue Monday night around 11:15 p.m. Police said the suspect stole the victim’s vehicle, which was located along with the suspect on Titian Avenue around 3 a.m. through the use of Flock cameras. The suspect abandoned the vehicle and ran into an apartment, and a standoff ensued, police added.
