1 dead after crash involving crane truck on South Side, San Antonio police say

A man died after he was involved in a crash with a crane truck Sunday evening on the South Side, according to San Antonio police. Officers responded around 5:19 p.m. to the 4700 block of Interstate 35 South, which is located near West Southcross Boulevard. Authorities said a man, who was yet to be identified, was driving a Kia Forte southbound when he struck a crane truck on the driver’s side of his vehicle. Police said the man was unresponsive at the scene and was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. At this time, it’s unclear what caused the driver to hit the truck.
