1 person dead after vehicle crashes into tree in Sacramento’s Richardson Village area
A man died on Saturday morning after his vehicle crashed into a tree near Sacramento’s Richardson Village neighborhood, police said. The single-vehicle crash happened shortly after 7 a.m. in the area of Norwood Avenue and Lindley Drive, Sacramento Police Department spokesperson Officer Allison Smith said. Responding officers attempted life-saving measures on the vehicle’s driver, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, Smith said. Detectives with the Police Department’s major collision investigation unit and crime scene investigators are investigating, according to Smith. The victim’s identity will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after family members are notified.
