Parker Mitchell was a standout kid. The 11-year-old Greece boy was a gifted, passionate athlete, a straight-A student and a child who loved exploring the outdoors. But more than anything, Parker was kind and loved the people around him — his friends and family. Parker died Sunday in a go-kart crash in Darien, Genesee County. The go-kart, which carried Parker and his 8-year-old sister, Teagan, overturned Sunday afternoon and landed in a pond near Fargo Road in Darien, according to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office.
