(7News) — A 13-year-old riding a bike in Fairfax County is dead after a crash with a large truck on Wednesday, police said. The City of Fairfax Police Department said officers were first dispatched to Pickett Road for a crash involving a 13-year-old and a large truck. "The juvenile sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene," a police spokesperson said. "Preliminarily information is the large truck was observed to be leaving the shopping center when it struck the juvenile riding on a bicycle." This was one of three crashes on Wednesday between vehicles and Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) students. Today, three FCPS students were involved in separate accidents with vehicles while riding a bicycle or scooter.
