OSTEEN, Fla. — A 15-year-old girl was killed and a 13-year-old passenger was hurt Sunday afternoon in an ATV crash in Volusia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash happened around 12:02 p.m. near Pell Road and Ashby Way in Osteen. Troopers said the 15-year-old was driving a 2021 Honda Pioneer 700 south on Pell Road when she lost control and ran off the right side of the roadway. FHP said the driver then overcorrected back toward the road, causing the ATV to overturn onto its left side. The girl was thrown from the ATV and pronounced dead at the scene.
