17-year-old charged in connection to deadly shooting in Penn Hills

Police have charged 17-year-old Tayquawn Mills in connection to the death of 18-year-old Kevin Walter, who was found dead inside a home in late August. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: Penn Hills shootings leave 18-year-old dead, teen critically hurt According to the criminal complaint, Mills and another witness went to Walter’s home on Keefer Street in Penn Hills to buy drugs. Mills told detectives that the witness said they were going to "stick him up." Mills stated he told the witness not to do that. The complaint states that both Mills and the witness ended up inside Walter’s home. It is unclear who fired the gunshots, but police said Mills sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and fled the scene.
