19-year-old woman shot at illegal car meetup in Landover

LANDOVER, Md. — A 19-year-old woman is recovering from nonfatal injuries after being shot at an illegal car meetup in Landover early Sunday morning. Prince George's County police said the department's Gun Crimes Unit is investigating the shooting, which occurred in the 3200 block of Hubbard Road around 2:30 a.m. Officers responding to the scene found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital. Police said the victim was attending an illegal car meetup when a fight broke out that led to the shooting.
