2 dead after shooting near Tom Lea Park in Central El Paso

El Paso police are investigating a shooting that left two people dead early Saturday morning at Tom Lea Upper Park in Central El Paso. Police said officers responded just after 4 a.m. to the 900 block of East Rim Road. Investigators said a group of people was at the park when two people inside an unidentified vehicle opened fire. The vehicle then fled the scene, police said. Two people were killed.
