Two firefighters were injured — including one who was hospitalized — Friday night in a warehouse fire in Suffolk. A 911 call came in at 7:10 p.m. for a commercial structure fire in the 3200 block of Desert Road. Firefighters arrived three minutes later, reporting large flames from a warehouse building. Firefighters deployed mechanisms to protect themselves and power lines, a radio tower, heavy equipment and large propane tanks impacted by the blaze. The fire occurred in a two-story metal warehouse of 60 by 100 feet. “Several structural collapses occurred during firefighting operations,” the fire department said.
