Two people were injured Friday morning after a small plane crashed at Chatham Airport on Cape Cod, according to the Chatham Fire Department. When firefighters responded to the airport at approximately 10:30 a.m. for a reported plane crash, they found a 17-foot Zenith aircraft upright on the runway with significant damage to the bottom of the plane and its propeller. The plane's two occupants had exited the aircraft on their own and had non-life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to Cape Cod Hospital. Firefighters used containment pools and absorbent material to collect fuel that was leaking from the plane.
