2 injured after a small plane crashes in Southern Indiana

Two people sustained minor injuries after a small plane crashed in Southern Indiana, according to a post from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office received a report of a crash involving a small aircraft near River Bottom Road and Lee Bottom Airfield in Hanover around 7 p.m. A preliminary report indicates that the aircraft – a Cessna 172 that operated out of the Clark County area – took off from Lee Bottom Airfield before crashing shortly after and striking a residence. When first responders arrived, they found two individuals, the pilot and a passenger, who had minor injuries. No individuals inside the home were injured.
