RIDGEFIELD, Wash. — A small plane crashed Monday afternoon near the Daybreak Airport, an unpaved rural airstrip in Southwest Washington about three miles east of Ridgefield. Two occupants were injured, according to Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue. After being extracted from the plane, one of them was taken to a hospital via ambulance and the second was expected to be taken by Life Flight, according to a post from the agency on Facebook . The plane, a Cessna 180, crashed around 1 p.m. in La Center, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The agency confirmed that two people were on board.
