Two pilots were killed Sunday when a helicopter supporting wildfire operations in Yosemite National Park crashed while working the Dome Fire, with the aircraft connected to a U.S. Forest Service helitack operation based in Idaho. The helicopter was working with Price Valley Helitack, a Forest Service aviation program based near New Meadows on the Payette National Forest. No Price Valley firefighters were aboard the helicopter when it crashed, according to reports from InciWeb.
