2 seriously injured in fiery I-95 crash in Auburn

AUBURN, Maine (WGME) – Two men have been seriously injured after a pickup truck hauling a flatbed trailer crashed and caught fire in Auburn. The crash happened on Thursday around 8:35 p.m. on I-95 southbound near mile marker 74. According to Maine State Police, a Ram pickup truck hauling a flatbed trailer drifted off the road and hit a speed limit sign and adjacent guardrail before jackknifing and catching fire. Investigators believe the driver, a 40-year-old Florida man, may have fallen asleep prior to the crash.
