2 teens in custody after Brooklyn carjackings; shot fired by NYPD officer following chase

BROOKLYN (WABC) -- Two teenagers were taken into custody Tuesday night in connection with two armed carjackings in Brooklyn, police said. In one of the incidents, a police officer fired a shot after a suspect allegedly drove a stolen vehicle toward him. The incidents began around 7:40 p.m. in Midwood, where two teenage suspects attempted to rob a 24-year-old man at gunpoint outside a restaurant at 1624 E. 16th St., according to police. The suspects then approached a 23-year-old man sitting in his vehicle at 1478 E.
