CELEBRATION, Fla. (WESH) – A 20-year-old man was allegedly killed by a lightning strike while on a walking path near downtown Celebration, Florida, on Tuesday night. “As soon as I heard that, I started running and I came over here. That’s when I saw the man. I had a feeling that it wasn’t good,” witness Felipe Costa said. The victim was identified as Matthew Jenkins of Michigan. His father said Jenkins had recently moved to central Florida to begin the Disney college program. “I have so much more respect for what storms are capable of, what nature is capable of, and we got to learn how to respect that and know how to deal with it,” Costa said.
