22-year-old woman fatally shot in East Cleveland; father arrested, sheriff says

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 22-year-old woman was found fatally shot inside an East Cleveland home early Sunday, and her father was later arrested in Cleveland, according to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff’s deputies responded about 1:15 a.m. to a home in the 1200 block of East 134th Street after a man called East Cleveland police and said he had shot his daughter, authorities said. Deputies and East Cleveland police officers entered the home and found the woman in a bedroom with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was gone when officers arrived.
