25-year-old pedestrian seriously injured in Murray crash

A 25-year-old man was hospitalized with serious injuries after he was struck by a car in Murray. Deputies with the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a crash just before 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of 1300 East and Van Winkle Expressway. Officials said a 47-year-old woman was driving west on 1300 East when she hit a 25-year-old man crossing the road. Deputies said the man was running through the intersection outside of a marked crosswalk. They also noted that he was wearing dark clothing.
