BLACKFOOT, Idaho — A 27-year-old man is dead after being involved in a fatal plane crash near the Blackfoot Airport on Saturday, according to his family. The Blackfoot Police Department on Aug. 1 said officers responded at 11 p.m. to a plane crash on the north end of the Blackfoot Airport. Police at the time said the aircraft came to rest across Teeples Drive and left debris across the road. Officials had closed the road to allow first responders to work the scene.

2, the West Clinic on its Facebook page stated their son Caden West had died in the crash. "His brother Myles and a close friend were with him," West Clinic wrote. "Both survived, both were badly hurt, and both are fighting.
