Two police officers were struck by gunfire, according to MPD. Three civilians are being treated for injuries at HCMC. "This is a tremendously tragic event," Parten said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and the loved ones of those who lost their lives, with those who were injured and with the injured officers and their families." Officers were called to the area near 15 East Grant Street on a report of a shooting at 4:36 p.m. The American Red Cross is also setting up a shelter near the scene.
