3 firefighters injured, 22 residents displaced in fire in N.J. city

Three firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling a fire at a New Brunswick apartment building Tuesday that displaced 22 residents. The fire at 88 Louis Street broke out at 1:24 p.m. and was under control at 5:13 p.m. Photos from the scene show heavy damage on one side of the three-story, eight-unit building. Two of the injured are New Brunswick firefighters; the other was firefighter from a neighboring town. Volunteers from Red Cross New Jersey provided temporary lodging, food and clothing to 18 residents.
