Burdynski was last seen leaving his home on a red bicycle on May 24, 1993, at the age of 10. According to law enforcement, within the last few months, they reinterviewed people connected to the case, which led to new witnesses and fresh leads. Investigators say an interviewee, who is now 47-years-old, told police he killed Burdynski at the age of 13 while both were being sexually abused by Joseph Lynch. "According to the witness account, Lynch was present and ordered the sexual assault of Junior and participated in the events that followed, including the disposal and removal of Junior's body," said George Nader, Prince George's County Police Chief.
