38-year-old woman riding e-bike killed in crash with SUV in Colton

COLTON, Calif. (KABC) -- A 38-year-old woman riding an e-bike died following a crash involving another vehicle in Colton, adding fuel to a growing safety debate across Southern California. Asandria Jacobo was killed Friday night in a collision involving her e-bike and a Volvo SUV at the intersection of 12th Street and East F Street, just blocks away from Fleming Park, according to the Colton Police Department. Jacobo was taken to the hospital, where she later died. The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Additional details about the deadly incident were not available.
