4 injured in shooting in Denver’s Harvey Park neighborhood

Four people were injured when a fight escalated into a shootout overnight in Denver’s Harvey Park neighborhood, police officials said Saturday. The Denver Police Department first reported the shooting in the 2100 block of South Sheridan Boulevard at 1:09 a.m. and said one person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Department officials later reported three more injured people, one of whom had a “minor” gunshot injury to the foot. The other two people drove themselves to the hospital and additional information about their injuries was not available. Investigators believe the incident started as an assault or fight that escalated into a shooting involving an unknown number of people, police said Saturday morning.
