A 45-year-old man was killed Monday afternoon after being struck by a train in Marysville, police said. Marysville police responded around 4 p.m. to the area of 76th Street Northeast and State Avenue for a collision involving a pedestrian and a train. Minutes before the collision, a caller reported people trespassing on railroad tracks in the area and said one person was behaving erratically, police said. Preliminary information indicates possible drug use may have been a contributing factor, though the circumstances remain under investigation.
