5 Mid-Penn football games to watch in Week 5

It’s hard to believe but the Mid-Penn Conference football regular season will be half complete by the end of the weekend. As the season rolls on, PennLive will continue to highlight some of the best matchups each week. Below are 5 MPC games to watch in Week 5. All games are 7 p.m. Friday. Trinity at Middletown – War Memorial Stadium We firmly believe that Middletown is much better than it showed last week vs. Milton Hershey. The Blue Raiders were sloppy with possession and never dusted off after Calvin Gumbs-Jacobs returned the opening kickoff 94 yards to paydirt. It’s imperative that RB Gavin Paul gets moving so QB Harrison Ortiz can manipulate a stretching D. Trinity, of course, wants to establish that same agenda. Brandon Harris, coming up big in last week’s victory over East Pennsboro, is averaging 9 yards per carry Chambersburg at Central Dauphin – Speed Ebersole Stadium Not much has gone right for the Trojans and Rams since the beginning of the season, so each proud franchise moment could use a boost in morale and certainly a notch in the win column. Chambersburg (0-4) must find a way to generate more offense because the other side is allowing a manageable 25.1 points per game. For the host Rams (0-4), only a more physical and focused attack will suffice. The reality is Central Dauphin has never banked fewer than three Commonwealth Division wins in the Glen McNamee era.
