5-year-old dies at hospital after accidental shooting in Sandy
A 5-year-old boy died after an accidental shooting involving young children in Sandy, police said. Sandy police were called just before 1 p.m. Saturday after receiving a report that a 5-year-old had suffered a gunshot wound, a Sandy Police Department spokesperson said. Investigators spoke with everyone involved and determined the shooting was accidental and involved young children, officials said. Police reminded people to use caution with firearms and offered condolences to the family. _____.
