The parents of a 4-year-old girl who was struck and killed by a car in Manchester in June pleaded not guilty on Wednesday after they were arrested in connection with her death . Taylor Biron, 28, and Nathael Cortes, 26, appeared in Manchester Superior Court Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to risk of injury to a child. Their daughter, Akari Cortes, was struck by a vehicle on East Center Street around 4:30 a.m. on June 10. She was taken to Connecticut Children's, where she later died from her injuries. According to an arrest warrant, surveillance video showed Akari leaving her family's home shortly after 4:14 a.m. and moving around the neighborhood unattended for about 15 minutes before she was struck. They each posted $25,000 bonds.
