A woman was killed, a man was arrested & an investigation’s ongoing, SC cops say

Weeks after a South Carolina woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash a man was arrested, according to the Cayce Police Department . On Wednesday, Govani Gregorio Pineda was charged with hit-and-run resulting in death, police said in a news release. The charge is connected to the August death of 37-year-old Cayce resident Janyne Renee Mbeng, according to the release. The hit-and-run collision happened at about 3:30 a.m. 23, Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher previously said.
