After game day shooting, Sac State says it will look to do more to ensure safety

Days after shots were fired on Sacramento State’s campus during the football team’s first home game of the season , officials issued a message to students, staff and faculty assuring them that security remained the top priority at events. The university said it would seek to do more to ensure a safe game day experience. That structure is the main parking facility for spectators. After a student community service officer reported hearing the shots, university police officers arrived on scene in less than a minute, according to campus officials. They confirmed two shots had been fired and no one was injured.
