Apollo Reports Data Breach From ‘Social Engineering Incident’

The hackers used so-called social engineering techniques — which rely on manipulating people to share information — to access data stored in Apollo’s cloud, the firm’s human resources chief, Matthew Breitfelder , said in a letter dated Aug. 21 and posted on the California attorney general’s website.
