COTTON PLANT, Ark. — At the request of the Cotton Plant Police Department, an investigation is now underway by Arkansas State Police following a shooting that left two people injured on Monday. According to reports, on August 31, Cotton Plant officers arrived at a home on Conley Drive and found a 19-year-old suffering from a gunshot to her thigh. She was then taken to a nearby hospital, but her condition remains unknown. Police also found a 20-year-old at a different home who was suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest and arm. He was then taken to UAMS in Little Rock, where they performed an operation.
