At least 2 dead, 1 unaccounted for after flash flood hits Grand Canyon trail

Officials identified the two men found dead as John Giusti, a Texas chiropractor, and 42-year-old Brent Rosenkranz, a martial arts studio owner, according to a statement from their families. The families say a third man on the trip, 53-year-old Wyoming pilot Timothy Smith, is still missing. All three had ties to Granbury, Texas, and had planned several days of hiking, camping and fishing together. About 80 people were rescued over the weekend, park officials said Monday. Search teams used night vision equipment to reach hikers stranded by the flooding; 45 people were pulled out by sunset Saturday, with 37 more evacuated Sunday.
