At least 3 dead in 8-hour span after string of Las Vegas Valley crashes

Three crashes in just over eight hours Saturday night into Sunday morning resulted in three deaths and have left three more in critical condition in a deadly Labor Day weekend in Southern Nevada. The Metropolitan Police Department said in a release that a motorcyclist died in a crash that occurred at 7:53 p.m. Saturday night in the southwest valley. According to the release, the driver of a 2024 Tesla Model 3 was stopped at a stop sign at Redwood Street and West Hacienda Avenue and failed to yield to a 2025 Honda Rebel 300. The Tesla driver began a left turn across the intersection and collided with the motorcycle, ejecting its 21-year-old driver onto the roadway.
