Authorities are investigating after a small plane crashed near Guymon Regional Airport this afternoon, sparking grass fires but not damaging any structures. The Guymon Fire Department said the call came in around 4 p.m. and that the aircraft went down southeast of the airport. The department said the plane did not hit any structures, but the crash started grass fires that crews were able to put out. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is securing the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will lead the investigation into what caused the crash.
