Ayotte, Warmington set to face off for governor in general election
The general election race for governor of New Hampshire is set, with Gov. Kelly Ayotte winning the Republican nomination and setting up a contest with Democrat Cinde Warmington, who ran unopposed. Ayotte handily beat challengers Shaun Fife and Bob McClory. "I'm so pleased with the support that I received tonight from the people of New Hampshire," Ayotte said. "I wake up every day to fight for them, on their behalf, to lower costs, to fight for more housing, to keep New Hampshire safe and to do it all with no new taxes." She said Warmington's policies would increase costs for Granite Staters. "And I have to tell you, Cinde Warmington is an opioid lobbyist, and she is going to drive up energy costs, drive up taxes, and make New Hampshire less affordable for the people of this state," Ayotte said. I hear it from doctors whose patients are losing their healthcare. One doctor even telling me that he is afraid for his patients, that they’re going to die." Voters will head to the polls for the general election on Nov.
