KETV reports: Bellevue City Council is considering an ordinance that would change the city's zoning rules to allow private companies to connect to current CO2 infrastructure. POET Biofuels, a private company, brought the proposal to city council last month. The change would allow POET to contract with another company, "Tall Grass," for carbon capture, which is used in ethanol manufacturing. "This amendment would allow us to continue evaluating a CO2 transfer unloading facility here in Bellevue, where we would plan to connect to some existing regional infrastructure," Dillon Oakes, director of strategic development of POET Biofuels, said.
