Beloved dad of 4 who was killed by lightning stopped to help boater, cousin says

"He leaves a mark with everybody. he's gonna be very missed," his cousin said. A beloved father of four died from a lightning strike while jet-skiing with his friend in Florida, according to officials and his family. Steve Matheson, 41, was hit by lightning around 6:35 p.m. Saturday near Fort De Soto, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Matheson, who was from from Saratoga Springs, Utah, was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, authorities said.
