Bessemer family celebrates 5-year-old's birthday days after deadly accidental shooting

Balloons filled the sky Friday on what would have been Julian Green’s sixth birthday, and each one carried a family’s love for a little boy they feel is still with them. Julian died Wednesday in an accidental shooting inside a Bessemer home. Family members said the 5-year-old found a gun and accidentally shot himself. Two days later, his family gathered to focus not on how Julian died, but on how he lived. They said he loved Spider-Man, fishing and playing with his ride-on cars and trucks.
