The director of Brigham Young University’s David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies died after a vehicle struck him while he rode a bicycle near Interstate 15 in Provo. The cyclist was identified as Vincent Stanley Benfell, 63. Provo police said the crash happened shortly after 8 a.m. 7 as a vehicle exited the freeway and collided with Benfell in an intersection.
