CALDWELL, Idaho — A woman escaping a violent confrontation at a Caldwell home in the early hours of Sunday morning heard a gunshot moments after leaving, according to police. When law enforcement arrived at South Georgia Avenue around 1:10 a.m., they found a critically injured 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest, who had called police himself. Police provided first aid until paramedics arrived. The man was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition as of Sunday afternoon.
