Smoke from two Northern California wildfires is expected to affect the Reno area for a few hours Friday before clearing by early evening. The smoke is coming from the Lucas Fire near the Lake-Mendocino county line and the Steele Fire in Napa County, according to the National Weather Service in Reno. Winds are pushing the smoke east into the region, but it is expected to begin moving north later Friday. Smoke should move away from the Reno area between 5 and 7 p.m., the weather service said. Air quality remained mostly good across the Reno area Friday, with pockets of moderate pollution in and west of the city, according to AirNow .
